LINDA HOYLE - PIECES OF ME

One of the true Vertigo swirl holy grails - a real beauty! Read on...

Year/Label : 1971 UK VERTIGO Swirl Label number : VO 6360060 Matrix numbers : 6360060 1Y//1 420, 6360060 2Y//1  420 Stampers :  11 1  06 / 11 4  06
Excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl - both sides of the vinyl gleam having retained their original jet black sheen, and in normal daylight each side comes across as totally unmarked. It is only with very close inspection under a bright light that just a few small and extremely faint and ultra thin paper scuff lines can be identified - each purely superficial. At the end of B5 there are also x3 tiny non-feelable hairlines which do result in some very low level and non-obvious background rotational clicking during the last 30 seconds of this track - if it wasn't for these tiny hairlines I would have no hesitation in grading the condition of the vinyl as "near mint".  The labels are in excellent plus (EX+) condition - near perfect with the only blemishes being just a couple of barely discernible small spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label. Clearly this is a record that has been only very sparingly played and lovingly cared for.  Again, an excellent plus (EX+) condition gatefold outer sleeve with crisp cardboard, firm edges with just the odd small sporadic scuff mark on the bottom edges and 1.5cm of scuffing next to the bottom right corner. There are a couple of tiny nicks on the top edges and the spine remains rigid with all spine text perfectly intactand - just a single tiny nick about a third of the way up the spine. The opening sides remain firm with no fraying and there is no cardboard creasing (just the hint of of a barely identifiable 5cm diagonal crinkle towards the reverse side top left corner), the corners remain near perfectly defined right angles with barely any rubbing, no ring wear, no unwanted writing and the colours, art work, photos and text remain beautifully intact with crisp definition. You might come across one or two very, very light and small handling/storage marks and in the middle of the reverse side there is an ultra thin and wispy 6cm score line but each of these blemishes is very, very minor - please do take a good look at my photos where I have attempted to give a fair and accurate representation of the condition of this gatefold, renowned for it's fragility as are the majority of these late 60's/early 70's Vertigo swirl originals.  Wonderful, excellent plus (EX+) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, distortion, or background crackle - side 1 is hard to fault in any way with great tone, wonderful clarity and a great listen throughout. Side 2 is similar except for the aforementioned very, very light 30 seconds of light clicking right at the end of B5 - nothing to impinge upon a great listen. You might come across the odd and very occasional very light random click elsewhere but this is purely down to either static or a speck of dust caught in the grooves through decades of storage.  Comes with original and correctly dated poly-lined Vertigo swirl inner sleeve - excellent (EX) condition with no side or bottom splits, no edge fraying, no unwanted writing, minimal creasing, and just a little age discolouration towards the edges.  Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original.    One of the hardest to find original UK Vertigo swirls and copies in as overall beautiful condition as this are truly rare.
POSTAGE COSTS :

For the UK £3.38 using Royal Mail tracked 48 (ebay "Simple Delivery");

for continental Europe £11 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for,

and for the rest of the world £17 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for.

I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 55 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window! My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I will sort out the problem. I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige. There is NO RESERVE on this item. Richard
