GREAT GUITAR HITS BY LINK WRAY & HIS RAYMEN
ORIGINAL 1962 FIRST PRESSING (archival quality - VERY RARE to find 1962 albums in this condition)
- ORIGINAL PLASTIC SLEEVE & PRICE STICKER of $2.98 -
THIS ALBUM FEATURES "RUMBLE", A SONG BANNED FROM THE RADIO IN THE EARLY 1960s.
ALBUM - EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT (this shows almost no wear, it doesn't look like it was played more than a couple of times)
COVER - EXCELLENT (no seam splitting, cover and edges still crisp & bright, almost no ring wear, slight shelf wear on one corner).
OUTER PLASTIC SLEEVE - VG This cover's AMAZING condition is most likely due to its original plastic outer sleeve (which has started to split and open up along the bottom edge).
INNER SLEEVE - N/A paper sleeve (too crisp, white & pristine to be the original sleeve)

This is a RARE, museum-grade archival & original 1st US mono pressing of Link Wray and His Raymen’s second studio album, Great Guitar Hits, released in 1962 on the collectible Vermillion Records label (LP-1924).
Authenticated within the dead wax, 1924-A-1 NMS and 1924-B-1 NMS along with the cursive "Lazy S" stamp proving it was pressed at the legendary Shelley Products facility.
What elevates this specific copy into an elite tier of historical preservation is that it remains housed in its original 1960s loose plastic distributor sleeve, completely unwarped and untouched by time. Because it was protected by a loose vintage bag rather than tight, shrinking factory cellophane, the heavy cardboard jacket has remained perfectly flat and immaculate for over six decades. This is an absolute holy grail for serious garage rock, rockabilly, and proto-punk vinyl purists looking for the ultimate centerpiece copy of a legendary guitar instrumental masterpiece.
