Description
Vanguard VRS-9196, “I Like It This Way” with Lisa Kindred, vocals; Erik Darling, 6 and 12 string guitar; and Russ Savakis, Ted Summer, Bill Svanoe, with Don McLean in one of his earliest recordings; from 1965. Original tan-label vinyl plays at NM with virtually no background sound. Jacket has strong seams with a bit of wear at the open ends. There is negligible corner wear; there is a small cutout hole at lower left; jacket is very clean with no writing or stamps. Songs are “Bring It with You When You Come”, “Reuben”, “Candy Man”, “I Like It This Way”, “If You Live Your Time Will Come”, “Down at Bolden’s Place”, “Stealing”, “Move That Thing”, “Out on the Western Plains”, “The Water Is Wide”, “Baby, Did You Hear Me”, and “Hangin’ Around”. Notes are by Peter LaFarge. So far as I know, this is Lisa Kindred’s only LP, but she made her mark. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $14.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail for $11.75 extra is strongly recommended. (Last year, a package to the Netherlands was lost in shipment, resulting in disappointment on both sides.) Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs will be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped.
