Description
Artist: JULIUS KATCHEN with the LONDON PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA, conducted by ATAULFO ARGENTA
Title: “Liszt: Piano Concertos No. 1, E flat major & No. 2, A major”.
Label: DECCA (UK). Labels are black with silver text. Stereophonic pressing on medium thick vinyl, with deep groove. Catalog number is SXL 2097.
Matrix numbers:
Side 1: ZAL-3523-3K
Side 2: ZAL-3524-2E
Year: Recording first published 1958 (per label).
Condition:
DISC: Vinyl is visual EX with 100% of original gloss, appears to have been played a very small number of times and handled with care. Play grade is closer to VG+. There are a few slight paper scuffs that produce a softly audible underlying surface noise in places, but there are no serious marks, no tics, pops, or skips. Fidelity is excellent with strong, brilliant dynamics. Labels are clean.
JACKET: Laminated Clairifoil jacket is overall very presentable with no significant defects. Front artwork is nice and bright, has retail price sticker with pen marking on it. Nice seams and spine. Light wear at corner tips and along opening edge. Reverse is nice and clean, except a faint trace of ring wear. Overall a fine jacket to accompany the great sounding disc.
