Description
For auction is LITTLE ANTHONY and the IMPERIALS' "We Are the Imperials," on END LP 303, MONO, 1959.
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. It sounded terrific, with only the scarcest traces of background noise in one or two spots. These are minor, i.e., they don't detract from the music or listenability of the record. Very enjoyable by all means!
Visually, the vinyl is VG+ or better, with no flaws to report other than minor handling smudges. On the original grey label issued in 1959, in MONO only.
The sleeve is VG+ (probably better) with no flaws of note other than very slight fraying/softening of the corners. The edges are solid and sharp. The cover is clean and glossy. The back has a bit of yellowing, which shows minor ring-wear.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
A great record, in great condition. No reserve, bidding starts at $10.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
