LONDON RECORDS
One of the great Doo Wop anthems made famous by The Diamonds in 1956 but written and recorded originally by Maurice Williams and The Gladiolas on Excello Records of Nashville. This is the same Maurice Williams who had some big hits in the early Sixties like "Stay" with the renamed Zodiacs.
A very desirable milestone record in the history of pop music this is now quite rare as The Diamonds grabbed all the glory for this number.
I was in high school in Omaha when it appeared and a few years later I returned to England with a case full of American pop records which I am now selling off having downsized and run out of storage space.
This record is undamaged with its' original London sleeve and both sides play OK, without jumping, but I make no claims for the sound quality after 56 years.
