Description

Superb and very rare, highly sought after 45 by Little Jimmy Scott. Songs are: 'It Rained 40 Days & Nights" and "Do You Get The Message". Original U.S. stock issue on Giant Records #706. ZTSC 141005-1A and ZTSC 141006-1A stamped in Deadwax matrix. Guaranteed authentic. Condition is VG- (5) has writing on labels and several surface marks. Plays well despite the sight grade has some background surface noise, music plays very loud above any background noise. Very rarely shows up, rightfully deemed one of the rarest of the rare Northern Soul 45's and a superb one at that. Both songs are excellent. Last time Manship auctioned a copy of this rarity was quite some time ago and it realized well over 400 UK pounds. Very low opening bid and no reserve.

Grading Scale:

10: Mint Perfect record, clean gloss, no marks, beautiful in every way. Very few records will make mint.

9: Mint- Very clean, only a few light marks. A great record.

8: Excellent (VG++) Condition between 7 and 9.

7: VG+ Used, but not abused. Light scratches only. Should play, and look very nice with minimal surface noise.

6: VG Still a nice record. Looks a bit used, light scratches, no gouges, still plays well, some surface noise.

5: VG- A bit rough but will play ok. Fills the collection.

4: G Plays very rough. Has multiple scratches. What a bargain!!

3-2-1: It only goes down from here.
