GRADINGS (Sleeve graded first)
I use the Record Collectors Guide system for my gradings with plus or minus to indicate any slight variations.
I will not use a mint grading unless an item is as new and sealed.
Any major faults are described.
All records sent in cruciform box with extra stiffeners and plastic sleeve. Vinyl and cover seperated before posting and vinyl put into plain paper sleeve for carriage. Then all put into pvc sleeve.
ALL VINYL VISUALLY CHECKED UNDER STRONG LIGHT. ANY VINYL GRADED VG OR LESS PAY TESTED FOR SKIPS AND JUMPS
I AM EXTREMELY FUSSY ABOUT GRADING RECORDS ACCURATELY. MY VERY GOOD PLUS WOULD BE EQUIVALENT TO SOME PEOPLES EXCELLENT.

MINT - Sealed, sleeve as new.
EX+ - Vinyl as new with no visible marks or scratches. Sleeve as new but not sealed.
EX - Vinyl almost as new, the odd very very light mark, no audible defects. Sleeve has very very minor wear or creasing
VG+ - Vinyl may have obvious signs of play but any marks or scratches will be light. The odd surface noise but no skips jumps or anything other than very minor pops. Sleeve will have some light creasing or marking but generally will be close to excellent.
VG - Vinyl has obvious light scratches or marks, obvious surface noise but with no skips or jumps. Sleeve will have moderate creasing and wear, very minor tears etc.
