Up for bids: a RARE ORIGINAL ISSUE of the garage/psychedelic classic LP LIVE AT THE FUNNY FARM,  featuring tracks by FIVE great, long-lost Hawaiian home-grown bands: The SPIRITS, CASUALS, MANCHESTERS, UNDERTAKERS and VAL RICHARDS FIVE!

No date (I'd guess 1965-66?); SCENE records, MONO, Scene #3000.  Excellent cover photo - probably taken live in the club; back cover blurb detailing a little of the mid-60s Hawaiian music scene.

Outer jacket is made of heavy cardstock and shows only mild shelfwear  – NO rips, tears, cuts, splits or ringwear. Overall EX++ or at least an 8 out of 10.

Inner sleeve is plain, nothing to write home about here...

Vinyl, however, is great. Light hairlining with a few light scratches to each side that do NOT affect playback. NO skips and only minor background hiss anywhere on the record.  Overall EX or about 7.5-8 out of 10.

(We all know how much of a beating most older rock records take. Finding one that plays AT ALL is a rarity, let alone one this nice. Don't let it slip away! Hawaiian records that somehow made it through this many years are even harder to find, as there weren't many Hawaiian bands in the first place, and that good old Hawaiian humidity makes keeping any kind of paper-based collectible a true challenge)

With a likely pressing of no more than 1000 copies (and quite probably fewer than that, given the small size of both the record label and the intended local audience), this is a highly sought record. Tracks range from merely "great" to genuinely mind-blowing.  Tracks were studio-recorded, with crowd chatter mixed in later - the word "live" in the title is pretty misleading, and makes the whole effort seem cheaper and flimsier than it is.  Sounds great to me - I'm not really selling this one because I want to.

I've NEVER seen a reissue, either...
