PHOTO DETAILS Classic album from LL Cool J featuring some of the best as well as most controversial tracks from his storied hip-hop career. Joints such as "Starsky & Hutch" with Busta Rhymes and "Wanna Get Paid" with The Lost Boyz showed that LL was still a rugged hip-hop lyricist, and the mellow cuts like "Candy" and "Nobody Can Freak You" proved he still holds it down for the ladies as well. But perhaps the most noteworthy track on this album Phenomenon is the star-studded collaboration track "4, 3, 2, 1". Not only are hip-hop legends Redman, Method Man, and DMX all guest vocalists, but this is of course the track on which Canibus was featured that started all the beef between him and LL. To make a long story short, Canibus claimed he was going to get a mic tattooed on his arm like LL, who then got mad because he thought Canibus wasn't deserving of such, and then they both ended up recording subtle (and not so subtle) disses at each other on this track that they're both on!!! So, the beef was officially on and the rest is history... Regardless, that track will forever be the highlight from this album, a solid effort overall from Mr. Smith. Definitely a must-have for any true DJ or hip-hop fan out there... so grab it now!!!Released in 1997, this album is now long out of print and is impossible to find on vinyl these days. Comes in full picture sleeve as shown above! Don't sleep... you won't see this rare gem again!! Check the audio tracks and bid today!!!
