Up for bid is an extremely rare private press LP, "Washington Suite," by The Lloyd McNeill Quartet. This is an original press on Asha Three, released in 1970. Anyone who has ever looked for this LP knows how difficult it is to find, especially in this condition! Search the blogs and you will see that this is one very rare, sought after LP - "considered essential listening by those in the know!" This LP is a solid VG+, with several very light scuffs on either side and no spindle wear. LP plays with very little surface noise (some light intermittent crackle - I have enjoyed this LP, from start to finish) - it truly sounds amazing!! Intermittent crackle is more noticeable on side 2, as parts of the "suite" on side 2 is softer and lighter than on side 1. I am sure a professional clean would eliminate much of the surface noise. LP is very clean and retains a nice gloss. Etched matrix info for side 1 is ASHA 3 A with "SON" to the right of the matrix. Side 2 reads ASHA 3 B with "SON" to the right of the matrix.
Jacket is VG+, with no seam splits. There is corner wear on all 4 corners. There is light wear on all seams (mainly noticeable on the bottom seam). There is ring wear on the front and back of the jacket. There are light scuffs and light scratches on the front and back of the jacket. There is a small light abrasion near the center on the top of the front of the jacket (affects the surface layer only) - perhaps from an old price sticker (see pictures). Jacket retains a nice gloss on the front and back.
