Description

Very nice copy of the rare original 1963 true first pressing of the Surfing with the Challengers LP on Vault LP-101. This is the first version with Lloyd Thaxton’s name and photo on the cover, removed on all subsequent pressings. Great surf rock from the classic era. The disc has some light scuffs but it plays beautifully, with only the slightest faint crackle between some tracks - barely! It really is almost a perfect player. Hardly the slightest tiny crackle at all. The cover is quite nice as well, with no seam splits or even ringwear. There are a couple of surface creases on the lamination (see photo), and a couple of light corner dings. Overall just lovely though. This is a beautiful copy of the rare original, and it sounds fantastic. Hard to beat.
