Description

This is an original 1968 Uni Records stereo U.S. pressing of the 1968 self-titled LP from garage-psych outfit The Lollipop Shoppe. It is Uni Records catalog number 73019. Personnel: Ed Bowen-lead guitar & vocals / Ron Buzzell-rhythm guitar & vocals / Bob Atkins-bass guitar / John The Greek-piano & organ / Carl Fortina-accordion / Tim Rockson-drums. This LP contains The Lollipop Shoppe's best-known track 'You Must Be A Witch' plus the following other tracks: Underground Railroad, Baby Don't Go, Who'll Read The Will, It's Only A Reflection, Don't Look Back, Don't Close The Door On Me, It Ain't How Long, It's Makin' It, I'm Gonna Be There, You Don't Give Me No More, Sin. Condition of record is a real nice high VG++ with all original gloss and just two or three small visible surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Labels have no problems. Condition of cover is a real nice high VG+ with a small drill hole near the upper right corner, indicating a promo or a cutout copy, a tiny bit of writing in blue marker on the front cover, a little ring and contact wear, and a little wear along the edges and on the corners. A choice addition to any late 1960s garage-psych record collection!
