ORIGINAL ONE-SHEET 8 1/2" X 11" FLYER from 1961 featuring LONNIE JOHNSON, VICTORIA SPIVEY and BOB DYLAN in EXCELLENT condition with NO tears, no pin holes, no tape and no tape residue. There are just a few creases in the upper left hand corner (see scan), a very small crease in the upper right hand corner, another light crease in the lower left hand corner and some VERY light fraying (see scan). In the upper right hand corner of the blank back of this fyer written in very light pencil is the numeral "50" and the letters "SH" (see scaThis flyer is NOT a copy--NOT a xerox or photocopy!! This is the REAL THING!! This beautiful piece is in VERY nice condition for an item that is over 50 years old! This flyer was in the collection of the late LEN KUNSTADT who was also married to Victoria Spivey. A TRULY UNIQUE AND EXTREMELY RARE ITEM FOR BOTH BLUES AND BOB DYLAN COLLECTORS! These were posted on lamp posts, walls and handed out and NEVER show up in this condition. Gerdes Folk City was truly an important venue for the late 50s and early 60s folksingers who played in New York City as well as the "rediscovered" blues musicians who played and recorded during the 20s and 30s! Lonnie Johnson was a HUGE influence on ROBERT JOHNSON and is considered to be the most prolific and influential blues and jazz guitarist of the 20th Century!
