You are bidding on a MINT, SEALED copy of LORD FINESSE – RETURN OF THE FUNKYMAN (REMIXES) 12” on SOUNTABLE (JAPAN).
ONLY 300 OF THESE RECORDS WERE PRESSED AS A PROMOTIONAL ITEM ONLY. THIS IS NOT COMING OUT COMMERCIALLY AND IS UNAVAILABLE OUTSIDE OF JAPAN.
For those that don’t know – Soundtable is a Japanese record shop/label (they also put out the SBX EP as a joint venture with BBP).
They have pressed 300 copies of this 12” as an in-store exclusive. To get the 12”, you need to be a VIP member (seriously!) and a resident in Japan.
So what’s the fuss all about?
Well – despite being only one of 300 pressings, this record features 3 remixes by Lord Finesse (all unreleased as far as I know) & an acapella of Yes You May (feat AG & Percee P).
The remix of Yes you may features AG & Percee P. IT IS NOT the same as the domestic 12” that came out in the 90’s which featured Big L.
Lord Finesse produces all the remixes. You get a reworking of “Return of the Funkyman”, the aforementioned remix of “Yes you May” & a further remix of “Hads in the air, mouth shut”.
The B side features all the instrumentals and the exclusive acapella of “Yes you May” feat Andre the Giant & Percee P which I am pretty sure is unavailable on any other pressing.
