LOS BRILLOS -- Capitan Capitan! -- ex. rare, original 1967 Mexican album. For fans of wild mid-1960s Mexican Garage-Beat sounds, this truly killer LP ranks with Las Chic's "Alto Somos" as one of the best -- and hardest to find -- records of this era (ironically both were released on the RCA Camden label and are rarer than hen's teeth.) Originally from the Monterrey, Mexico area, Los Brillos released a handful of singles and this one top-notch LP loaded with Fuzz-stoked covers of Them's "Call My Name," the Moody Blues' "And My Baby's Gone," The Outsiders' "Time Won't Let Me" and others that nearly out-do the originals (and all in Spanish.) For some reason this almost never comes up for sale: do a search and see the last time a copy sold (as in, almost never ...) Cover: VG+, ring wear and wear at corners, small writing at upper right edge of front. Record: VG-/VG, light surface wear and surface marks, writing on labels, plays well, on RCA Camden label.
