 Los Mirlos, (The Blackbirds) are the creators of the Amazonian cumbia, one of the many manifestations of Peruvian cumbia. It is a group of long history, originating from the city of Tumbes, in the department of San Martin in Peru, whose wild origin earned them the nickname «Los Charapas de Oro»("The Golden Charapa.") Its beginnings date back to 1968, and his career continues to this day.
