Lost And Found
"Everybody's Here" International Artists Original 1968 Psych Fuzz LP! No Reserve!
Lost And Found - "Everybody's Here" International Artists IA-LP-3 (Stereo). Classic Psychedelic Freaked Out Fuzz from Lost & Found. This album is sometimes known simply as "Lost And Found" but "Everybody's Here" seems to be the actual correct title.
The Lost and Found came out of Houston, and originally called themselves the Misfits. Members were Peter Black guitar and vocals, Jimmy Frost lead guitar and James Harrell on bass. John Kearney of the Spades played with them for a short while after the Spades had split up in 1965, and they went through a succession of drummers, first Norman Blythe, then Mickey Bishop, and finally Steve Webb. The Misfits played shows at Love Street and La Maison, where, according to Jimmy Frost, they met the 13th Floor Elevators for the first time. The Elevators would have a huge influence on their sound, and their friendship with Roky Erickson and Stacy Sutherland would eventually lead to an introduction to the International Artists label.
Time spent by the group on the West Coast had not been wasted. The emphasis on melody and memorable hooks so common to L.A. clearly influenced their song writing, with elements of The Byrds and Love being most evident.
Lost And Found recorded their one and only album, "Everybody's Here", in the summer of 1967, working with producer Lelan Rogers and engineer Frank Davis. Made up of mostly original material written by group members Harrell and Frost, except for a cover of the Elevators' "Don't Fall Down", it was certainly a strong debut, melding the influences picked up on their LA jaunt with more esoteric elements picked up from the Elevators, they even go for some Elevators style "Electric Jug" on "Let Me Be"!
Pete Black joined Endle St. Cloud. Steve Webb played drums with Potter St. Cloud and Euphoria.
In super condition! The cover is still in it's Original Shrink Wrap and doesn't really exhibit any flaws with the exception of what I take to be a "Cut Out" mark on the back. This is a little (about 1/8" circle that appears to have been burnt through the shrink and branded onto the back cover. It isn't actually a hole, just a little branded mark. Even with this almost invisible flaw, I'd still have to say the cover is easily Near Mint. Please note - any marks, streaks or blotches that you may see which are not mentioned in the write up (such as those in the upper right corner of the cover) are scanner artifacts, not defects in the record cover... I will list any actual defects! The vinyl itself is also pretty much perfect - quite possibly unplayed - and easily Near Mint! The Turquoise with Silver Print labels are in As New, Near Mint shape as well. No "Masterphonics" in the Run-out vinyl.

Records are graded to the best of my ability to Goldmine Visual standards. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words:
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over eleven years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
