  • This is a book set of 4 records (8 sides) of Schumann's Frauenliebe und Leben sung by Lotte Lehmann..................................................................................................Woman's Love and Life is a cycle of poems by Adelbert von Chamisso, written in 1830. They describe the course of a woman's love for her man, from her point of view, from first meeting through marriage to his death, and after. Selections were set to music as a song-cycle by masters of German Lied, namely Carl Loewe, Franz Paul Lachner and Robert Schumann. The setting by Schumann (his opus 42) is nowadays the most widely-known.

  • Here are the details:

  1. The records are in V++ condition.

  2. The book is a bit damaged along the spine and has slits on the bottom of some sleeves but still holds the records in. There is an inset booklet with cover photo and full details.

  3. Shipping within the US will be $6.00 media mail. Rates outside the US will be advised and items will be sent by airmail. Insurance within the US is a further $1.75 up to $50 cover if you require it.
