Description

Absolutely stunning copy of the original 1967 first pressing of Lou Donaldson’s classic Alligator Bogaloo LP on Blue Note stereo BST-84263. Rudy Van Gelder’s stamp in both runoffs. Original Liberty labels with Liberty inner sleeve, still in the shrinkwrap and almost pristine inside and out. The disc is truly beautiful and plays completely flawlessly. There are a couple of very light superficial marks but barely. They don’t make the slightest sound and are barely even visible. The cover is similarly very near immaculate, with only the tiniest corner wear. The shrink is tearing off a little at the lower right, which is also the most bumped of the corners, though not bad at all. Really this is a nearly perfect cover, and a nearly mint record. An absolutely top, top original copy, very hard to beat.


And it was from the estate of legendary jazz bassist Ray Brown, who had a lot of records made by his friends and associates.
