LOU DONALDSON “Blues Walk” RVG, P, DG, LAM, Blue Note 1593 Mono Vinyl
This is the "RVG" stamped, Deep Groove, Laminated Cover, P-pressing of LOU DONALDSON’s “Blues Walk” on the “47 West 63rd” labels of Blue Note BLP 1593. Musicians include Lou Donaldson - alto saxophone, Herman Foster – piano, Peck Morrison – bass, Dave Bailey – drums, Ray Barretto - congas.
VINYL plays with consistent medium loud surface noise (i.e, static, crackle, ??,????,relative to the volume of the music/instruments) with pops and ticks, some repeating. Ensemble sections are clear with strong signal and full tone. No Skips. No locked grooves. Occasional distortion present on horn passages. Surface is worn. Many hairline marks, handful feelable. (If you can't feel it you won't hear it). The Deep Groove “47 West 63rd” labels show wear, pen writing, spindle marks. See photos.
LAMINATED COVER is in OK shape, corners worn. Some peeling. Seams and spine are generally solid with cracking. Small splits at edges. "BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23" back jacket shows wear, stains, stock chipping, water damage. Please see photos.
