LOU DONALDSON “Light-Foot” P, RVG, LAM,  Blue Note 4053 Mono Vinyl

This is the “RVG” stamped, Laminated Cover, "P" pressing of LOU DONALDSON’s “Light-Foot” on the "47 West 63rd” labels of BLP 4053. Musicians include Lou Donaldson, Herman Foster, Peck Morrison, Jimmy Wormworth, Ray Barretto.>

VINYL plays with consistent medium level surface noise (i.e, static, ?? or ????, relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with occasional pops and ticks, but the imperfections are largely subsumed by the music. The first track on each side has the loudest surface noise, which dissipates as the album proceeds. Instruments are largely clean, very strong, and dynamic and full of tone. No distortion. No locked grooves. No Skips. Good gloss. Handful of hairline marks, none feelable. (If you can’t feel it you won’t hear it).  The "47 West 63rd” labels are clean with spindle marks. See photos.

LAMINATED COVER is in very nice condition, corners worn, minor laminate peeling at top right corner. Seams and spine very good with some cracking. "BLUE NOTE RECORDS, INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23" back jacket shows aging, stains, 2” cut on left mid-back jacket that barely makes it through the jacket stock, with no separation of stock.
