Description

LOU DONALDSON “Light-Foot” RVG, DG, P, LAM, Blue Note BLP 4053 Mono Vinyl

This is the 1959, first edition, “RVG” stamped, Deep Groove, “P” pressing of LOU DONALDSON’s “Light-Foot” on the "47 West 63rd” labels of Blue Note BLP 4053. Musicians include Lou Donaldson, Herman Foster, Peck Morris, Jimmy Wormworth, Ray Barretto.

VINYL plays with light surface noise, with consistent pops and ticks, some repeating. Lou at his very best! Ensemble sections are clear, dynamic and strong. No skips. Good gloss. Many long hairline marks, several feelable. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The Deep Groove “47 West 63rd” labels are clean, some wear, and spindle wear. See photos.

LAMINATED COVER shows large taped area at bottom seam. Corners worn. Spine clean but both seams almost entirely split. Back jacket shows handing writing, stains, tape residue. Please see photos.

This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
