Description
Elektra EKS 74049, orange label, stereo.
The sleeve is manufactured in what I would describe as a glossy (non-laminated) finish but with a matt texture if that makes sense. It's in pretty solid shape; no rips or tears or seam splits. The spine is good but it does have slight edge and corner wear, one small corner crease and a hint of ringwear on front and and grubbiness on the rear. I'm playing the devil's advocate here as overall it wouldn't disgrace any vinyl collection and as such out of 10 I would give it 7.5 for condition.
I had trouble taking photos of the labels due to sunlight on the silver lettering but got there in the end and you can see they are nice and clean with evidence of only a handful of spins (ie spindle snail tracks at the centres). The machined matrix etchings on the dead wax run-offs have A1 and B1 suffixes thus denoting first pressing.
For the disc itself, the vinyl is flat and shiny and of at least medium weight. At the window the vinyl looks very clean and if you were looking at it in a record fair or shop you would say it was minty. But onto the unforgiving desk lamp for the ultimate visual judgement. I do see some light hairlines and scuffs and as always I reckon most of this is due to the fact its been residing in the inner sleeve for almost 50 years and hence is never going to be factory fresh. That said I would rate it 8 out of 10 for condition; it really is a great example.
Comes in the original die-cut (one face only) inner sleeve.
