LOVE - FOREVER CHANGES
ELEKTRA K 42 015
1970s re-issue - Made in Germany by Record Service GmBH. Alsdorf
Dead wax Stamping - STRAWBERRY on side 1
Vinyl weight: 120g
In my ownership since bought new about 30 years ago. Has been stored in a PVC sleeve (included in sale) in a closed record cabinet. Played only on high-end Thorens TD 166 and Linn Sondek turntables fitted with A&R C77 and E77 cartridges
Gradings based on those of 'Record Collector' (see below for grading explanations)
Sleeve - estimated to be in EXCELLENT condition
Impressed W stamp at bottom RH corner of back cover
Cover - Silky gloss bright with no scuffing. No surface creases but four noticeable quarter-inch indentations on back cover which I suspect were there when bought
Corners - Minimal wear to all four, remain very sharp
Inner Sleeve - esimated to be in EXCELLENT condition
The original plain white polythene-lined paper with no printing. Minimal creasing, no damage, spots of polythene to paper glue bleed-through
Disc - estimated to be in EXCELLENT+ condition
Anti-static pad applied before each spin though never cleaned
Played less than 10 times as taped to cassette soon after purchase, and not for many years prior to testing for this sale
No warping
Difficult to fault: no scratches or scuffs, small mark on track 2 side 1 (inaudible). Lovely deep, bright gloss
Labels - estimated to be in EXCELLENT+ condition
Matt orange/red labels with white writing in English, French and German around the edge. No spindle marks, tiny bit of crinkling at hole, essentially 'as new'
A very smart and attractive example of a German-made Elektra re-issue that would grace any collection in which top condition is important
Like most of my ageing LPs it may benefit from professional cleaning

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
