Description
- Love released their third studio album "Forever Changes" in November 1967 on Elektra Records. It was a huge hit in the U.K. and only moderately successful at first in the U.S. but over time, buoyed by the AOR hit "Alone Again Or," it has been recognized as one of the greatest albums of the psychedelic rock era. It was the last album by the original line-up which Arthur Lee replaced with all new musicians.
- This copy of (EKS-74013) is from the First Pressing and is in very good condition. The cover is solid and has some ring wear but I still grade it VG+ considering it is now 54-years-old. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly but there is some minor static in some of the quieter moments and it grades VG. It's almost impossible to find an initial pressing that doesn't have some surface noise because it had to be mastered very softly. It was mastered by Ray Hagerty and this copy was pressed by Monarch Record Mfg. Co. in Los Angeles. The Side One dead wax is etched EKS 74013A (MON) (MR) ?11250 RH except the Monarch (MR) logo in a circle which is stamped.
- In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.
- Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.
- This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 54 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
