 copy of very rare First STEREO issue of the famous Jean-Max Clement recording of the Bach Suites (UK Wideband Groove Decca-pressed LPs) - plays NM, effectively as new, sleeve EX. Amazing cello sound and presence.


NOTE this is the original first UK issue in the gatefold sleeve, not the the later 1970s reissue (individually-sleeved OLS 133 and 134). 

  • UK Decca-pressed L'Oiseau-Lyre stereo double LP set SOL 60016-17 from 1960.
  • Very first UK issue, wide band groove pressing, equivalent to ED1.
  • 1M/1M/1M/1M pressings, and "automatic couplings": sides 1&4 on SOL 60016, sides 3&2 on SOL 60017

                                         mint        this means the sleeve is still sealed and has therefore never been played.

                                         near mint     means the vinyl will have no visible marks or hairlines. The sleeve/box will appear perfect as when new. It may look unplayed.

                                   excellent +    means the vinyl will have virtually no visible faults but some minor signs of having been played around the spindle hole. The sleeve may have the smallest of faults but nothing of importance

                               excellent     means the vinyl will still look good but with perhaps a couple of very light hairlines or finger marks etc.... the sleeve will have perhaps some ringwear and smudges but no tears or stains.

                               excellent minus    means the vinyl will have signs of playing and hairlines or minor marks but nothing that should affect play significantly.There will be no deep scratches.The sleeve may have ringwear or small stains or tears.

                                If VG+  or  VG then all faults on vinyl and sleeve will be described.


POSTAGE ..................please note that as of September 4th eBay now charge final value fees on postage as well as the item. It costs £3 to post an LP within the U.K. and about £ 0.35.
