Ewan MacColl & Peggy Seeger

LP "Chorus From The Gallows", Topic 12T16, 1960.

A very early Topic recording on the rare cream label which preceeded the familier blue label. Gatefold sleeve which was way ahead of its time, mono.

A collection of songs and ballads about outlaw heroes, crimes of passion, confession and remorse, transportation and prison life. MacColl at his most powerful.

Tracks:

Side 1 - Turpin Hero, The Crafty Farmer, McCafferty, Jimmy Wilson, The Lags Song, Van Dieman's Land, Go Down Ye Murderers.

Side 2 - Derek Bentley, The Blue Velvet Band, Jamie Raeburn's Farewell, John O'Breadiesley, Hughie The Graeme, Minorie, Treadmill Song.

Condition: Record Vg. Decent black vinyl with just a few light surface marks. Clean label. Plays very well. Sleeve Vg. Light creasing and wear to spine.

Includes original notes in Vg clean condition.
