Zustand Vinyl / Condition Vinyl: vg-  Lp ist viel gespielt worden und hat zahlreiche Kratzerchen und Gebrauchsspuren, aber größtenteils auch noch einen guten Glanz. Auf Seite 2 Ansammlung mehrerer Kratzer bei den ersten beiden Titeln (siehe letztes Foto), die LP spielt bei mir jedoch ohne Hänger oder Sprünge durch und die LP hört sich noch passabel an (allerdings NICHT wie eine CD, sondern mit Knistern und gelegentlichem Knacksen). Dickes, 197g schweres Vinyl!

This album has been played a lot and has numerous small scratches and scuffs but still some nice shine too. There´s a bunch of small scratches on the first two tracks on side 2 (see last picture), but the LP plays through without sticking or jumping on my gear and can still be enjoyed (but it does NOT sound like a CD, there´s background crackling and occasional clicks and pops). The very rigid vinyl weights some heavy 197g!

Zustand Cover / Condition sleeve: g+  Cover hat oben rechts einen längeren, reparierte Einriss, ferner wurde die Ecke unten Rechts geflickt (hiervon ist jeweils nur die Vorderseite betroffen) und das Laminat ist stellenweise etwas beschädigt. Rückseite ist ordentlich und unbeschädigt und trägt einen PX-Shop Stempel. Der Rücken ist etwas brüchig, aber noch intakt!

The front sleeve has a long rip from the right side up to Elvis´ head which has been neatly repaired. The lower right corner has been patched on the front (back is not affected). Slight damage to the laminate in places. Back looks quite good with no major damaging and has a red PX-Shop stamp which generally adds to the value. Spine has small cracks but is still intact! 

Kommentar: sehr rare deutsche Erstpressung in gebrauchtem Zustand, findet man allerdings wohl kaum noch neuwertig zu einem erschwinglichen Preis. LP / Label entspricht der Erstpressung, die zunächst (allerdings nur für sehr kurze Zeit) auch in Top-Open-Covern verkauft wurde. Muss wohl keinem Sammler sagen, wie schwer diese frühen deutschen Pressungen zu finden sind und ich würde selbst das geflickte Cover noch als ordentlich bezeichnen, gemessen an dem sehr dünnen und verschleißfreudigen Material (oft fehlt es gänzlich oder größere Teile davon).

Comments: very rare 1st German issue in used condition, but then again, you´ll be hard pressed to find a neat copy at an affordable price. LP and label are still the ones that were also sold in Top Open sleeves for a short while. Needless to point out to any serious collector how hard to find these early German LP´s are and I´d still say this repaired sleeve is still in decent condition, considering the flimsy and fragile material is was made of. More often than not, the sleeve to this heavy LP is altogether missing, or at least larger parts of it.

Gradings

m = mint, absoluter Neuzustand. Verwende ich nur bei verschweißten Platten oder wenn ich sicher weiß, die Platte ist noch ungespielt.
m = mint, NEW. I only use this grade when the record is sealed or I´m 100% sure it never has been played

m- = keine sichtbaren Mängel, annähernd neuwertig
m- = near mint, no visible defects, (almost) as new

ex = excellent, minimale Gebrauchsspuren wie Schlieren von der Papierhülle
ex = excellent, very light signs of use only like paper scuffs from taking the record out of the inner sleeve

vg+ = ordentlicher gebrauchter Zustand. Keine spürbaren Kratzer. Es können vereinzelte oberflächliche Gebrauchsspuren auftreten, die das abspielen jedoch nicht beeinträchtigen. Die Platte weist noch einen schönen Glanz auf
vg+ = nice, used condition. No feelable scratches. There might be some surface scuffs but these do not affect the playability of the record. Slight crackling can be audible though. The record has still a very nice shine.

vg = gebraucht, aber noch in akzeptablem Zustand. Platte wurde häufig gespielt, leichte Kratzer sind möglich. Kann z.B. auch eine Platte sein, die eigentlich vg+ wäre, aber einen vereinzelten, spürbaren Kratzer aufweist.
vg = used, but still in acceptable condition. The record has been played frequently though, light scratches can be found as well as surface scuffs and hairlines. Could also be a record which would be vg+ but has a single, feelable scratch for example.

vg- = ab hier wird es kritisch. Es sind deutlich sichtbare Gebrauchsspuren vorhanden, entweder in Form von Kratzern oder allgemeinen Abnutzungserscheinungen vom vielen Abspielen. Auch (leichte) Hitzeschäden sind möglich. Ab hier nur akzeptabel bei sehr raren, gesuchten Platten.
vg minus = it´s starting to get critical here. There are a lot of visible signs of use like scratches, scuffs, slight warps etc. Still, the record should play through without sticks or jumps. If the condition matters to you, don´t buy records worse than vg unless it is a very rare record that you can´t find easily in better condition.

g+ und g= abgenudelt und mit Kratzern, Vinyl kann sehr matt erscheinen vom vielen Abspielen, Label sind evtl. abgerieben.
g+ and g = pretty run down with feelable scratches, Vinyl might appear dull from being played frequently, labels might show wear

poor und fair = Schrottzustand / trashed
