                The plate is in an absolutely new condition
NEAR MINT - NM

EXCELLENT - EX 
This is a plate without serious damage. However, it is clearly recognizable as a used plate. No lasting crackling. Maximum very fine scratches, which do not affect the listening pleasure very much.

VERY GOOD - VG 
Is comparable to a good flea market plate . Can have clear traces of use but no damage. There may be crackle, but never the whole plate over and so, That it affects the listening pleasure. No jumps.
GOOD - G
Can have slight damage, open glue fold, torn edges, ringwear, wrinkles etc can occur, but the plate is still audible, ground noise is accepted, a two violent scratches could be times but no jumps. 
FAIR - F 
Can have irreparable damage, but can still be heard. Depending on the music style, the 'casual listener' may still have its own joy. Possibly. Individual pieces are no longer easy to play. 
The cover can be decorated, painted or open on one side, but can still be used.
POOR - P 
is probably hardly to be used or at least looks so.

Cover:  Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD - G

Record / vinyl:  The record has been so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.

Cover:  The cover and contents, from scissors, scissors, spine splits, discolouration etc ...

F

FAIR - F

Record/vinyl: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump.

Cover: The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Record/vinyl: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc..
