Neil Merryweather and Mama Lion's adjacent in-studio project. It's actually hard to classify. A large number of the songs are duelly focused on organ and guitar, and the two covers are entertaining fuzzed up remakes of '50s rock. The speed of Deep Purple with the organ of Billy Joel's Attila comes to mind, as does a little bit of psychedelic and funk.
But as far as heaviness; yes, there's some fuzz guitar, but it's really not all strong throughout. There's far more emphasis on keys. Not a bad thing though, the musicians seem quite talented. But the songwriting is just not as fully developed. Many of the songs are so brief that you get the feeling that this was just an experiment. (jcrmusicnews.com)
