I bought this LP new in May 1971.
Cover - Shrink on. There is a slice of shrink (2 to 3 inches wide) missing from the open end. Angles up from couple inches above cutout hole to near center of cover. Shrink bordering missing section is creased. Cutout hole bottom right. Price tags on shrink. “249” written on price tag. No other writing, no cover splitting. Except for the shrink, very little shelving/handling evidence.
Vinyl - Some rubs. Blue labels.
Sleeve - Original white (yellowing) paper. Corresponding cutout hole. 3 lines of writing top of one side.

Because of the liner notes I’ll go with the November 1965 recording date.
The Larry Johnson discography on wirz(dot)de has only this one release, 1966, for this album. They usually show rereleases, or alternate labels, if any.
Clear as a bell, two young men treating us to near-perfect treatments of South East style blues.
What a find! Yeah, I paid the price listed on the white price tag. Took a chance. Those were the days. You had to flip through 30 to 300 albums just to find 1,2 or 3. Always worth the effort.
Larry Johnson has a pretty extensive discography. Hank Adkins not so much.
Can’t tell who’s singing, who’s guitar leads.
But it’s all superb.
Terrific music, terrific shape album.
