1-this si for real 2-a lovers change 3-dont take the time 4-jealousy is in me 5-im not satisfied 6-this close to you 7-dont wanna be a fool 8-come back to love 9- follow my love Before his breakthrough, Vandross was part of a singing quintet in the late '70s, consisting former Shades of Jade members Anthony Hinton and Diane Sumler, Theresa V. Reed, and Christine Wiltshire, also called Luther, signed to Cotillion Records. Although the singles "It's Good for the Soul", "Funky Music (Is a Part of Me)", and "The Second Time Around" were relatively successful, their two albums, the self-titled Luther (1976) and This Close to You (1977), didn't sell enough to make the charts. Vandross bought back the rights to these albums after the record label dropped the group, preventing their later re-release.

NM (Near Mint): Our highest grade. Like new, most likely unplayed.
VG++: A record that has a few visual imperfections that will not affect the sound. Likely played only a handful of times or never at all.
VG+: A few more surface marks than a VG++. The record has probably been played before but well taken care of and should play with very few audible imperfections.
VG: The record will display light surface scuffs and marks. Expect some light surface noise in parts or a few clicks or pops here and there. A VG record will play with very minimal noise and will still be quite enjoyable. We think our VG grade is conservative.
VG-: The record may have some deeper audible scatches. There will be some clicks and pops more consistently than that of a VG record but will play without skipping.
G: The record will have heavy wear and very apparent surface noise.
