Here's a rarity from the 70s, a real gem of Psych Hard Prog Rock, the only and great album by this group during their name as Jericho, previously Jericho Jones and Churchill's, from Israel. Never seen on eBay an italian copy of this wonderful record, on glorious Regal Zonophone label, especially by unique cover and the record in mint condition.

Israel's rock stars number one, Jericho were previously known both as Churchill's and Jericho Jones, recording excellent albums under these names in the late 60s and early 70s. In 1972 and now as Jericho alone, they released this last album with five songs of pure Progressive Heavy Rock with some Psych overtones.
This album stands tall in the gallery of 70's Underground Heavy Rock with incendiary guitar work and a powerful vocal delivery. Sure to please fans of Dust, Mayblitz, Fuzzy Duck, Sir Lord Baltimore, Toad, The Dark, etc.
Jericho evolved from Jericho Jones which evolved from the Churchills. What sets this version apart from the others is it's much more of a progressive album with heavy undertones throughout. "Kill Me With Your Love" is an epic proto-metal song that should be on any classic rock fan's list. "Don't You Let Me Down" is another straightforward rocker. The rest of the songs are not quite as good, but the album is still worth hearing, and if you can track it down do so.Classic hard-rock album highlighted by the jammy proto-metal monster "Kill me with your love" and beautiful ballad "Justin and Nova" which benefits from a tasty string arrangement. Kind of like a cross between Captain Beyond, Santana, The Who and a prog band. Not worth a couple hundred bucks but damn fine.
One of the best records of 1972, perhaps the best. Hardrock from Israel. I cannot believe, which power they play and the voice is astounding.
