Kathe Green's debut album is an outstanding orchestratedfolk-pop delight, its swinging sunshine tinged with a bit of melancholy. Writing10 of the 13 tracks, Kathe puts her own imprint on the album, with her clear& melodic voice never overwhelmed by the strong arrangements. The linernotes make comparisons to her contemporaries Marianne Faithfull, Sandie Shaw,and Dana Gillespie.
Released in 1969 the album is a collaborative effort with theflourishing orchestral arrangements being handled by John Cameron ,a gifted and utterly professional arranger witha background in jazz , who had also arranged Donovan's Mellow Yellow and SunshineSuperman . He also co-wrote or solo wrote some of thesongs along with pianist Liz Sacks, former band mate Glenn Closer with even heragent Bunny Sacks and head of A&R at Deram Wayne Bickerton getting in onthe act.
