I bought this LP new in January 1974.


Cover - Shrink on.  Top right corner cut off.  Light ring wear, mild corner bumps, little other shelving/handling evidence.  No writing.  Price tag residue on shrink.


Vinyl - Some rubs.


Sleeve - Original ATCO et.al. paper.  Corresponding corner cut.


Matrix/Runout:

Side 1:  ST - C - 712295 - AAA + - 1   AT/GP    PR  ll

Side 2:  ST - C - 712296   AAA + - 1   AT/GP    PR  l + l    D (very faint)


GP in the runout is George Piros, the mastering engineer.


This was probably pressed at either the Phillips Recording Co, Richmond IN or the PRC Recording Co, Richmond IN in 1971.  These two companies are intertwined and I’m not sure what’s up.  The “RI” in the ( ) at the bottom of the labels indicates Richmond IN, I’m pretty sure.

Both companies on the Discogs pressing plant lists have a date of 1971 and no other for this catalog number.

So, is it a first (only) pressing?


I’m very sure, though, that Rory can play the guitar, has a distinctive voice, and knows how to rock.  Wonderful up-beat album.
