For those who are interested, here is a bit about the history of this album (). SPACE INVADERS is a jam project in which I (Note: bloop)play along. There is never rehearsal, just performances, fully improvised.
For the concert in November 2013 at the Psychedelic Network Festival in Würzburg, the sixth player was the 73-year-old ex-HAWKWIND musician NIK TURNER , who added flute, sax and voice.
Unfortunately the whole thing felt like a medium disaster during the gig. I (Note: bloop) After the gig, I set about bringing the 24-track recording into a usable form. Under the circumstances, that was completely successful, so you hardly notice the difficulties on the final mix. Instead of overdubbing, I simply left out individual parts of the track, eliminated crooked notes and effectively staged the rest.
