Description

THE MODERN LOVERS LP ORIGINAL SUPER CLEAN FIRST PRESS.
THE MODERN LOVERS- S/T LP. Bezerkley Records (00050) 1976 U.S. pressing.  L.A., Calif, address, "GRT Music Tapes" on back. Original pressing on Bezerkley Records. Yellow factory label inner sleeve with "Home Of The Hits".  Matrix etched "JBZ 0050-A GRT" "JBZ 0050-B GRT"
One of the greatest albums of the 1970's.  The original all star line-up featuring Jonathan Richman, *Ernie Brooks, Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads) and David Robinson (The Cars). Produced by John Cale (Velvet Underground). *Ernie, a civil rights activist, direct founding member, contributor and designer of the band's logo. 
Front is SIGNED in silver Sharpie "Jonathan Richman" 100% authentic Jonathan signed LP. Clean and trouble-free signature that stands out and displays nicely.
AND IF THAT AIN'T ENOUGH.  ALSO included, the very early and rare promotional 8.5" x 11" glossy photo of the original, original band featuring said members along with Jonathan's next door neighbor John Felice (The Real Kids). Felice being a few years younger was forced to quit the Lovers, his parents fearing his demons playing in a rock band may affect his schooling. Well you can't fight what's in the stars. Felice's brakeway led to he forming The Real Kids (and later Taxi Boys) ultimately giving the world one of the greatest power pop songs of all time. This photo was snapped somewhat candidly in Boston. The top right corner cut-out removing either band or label logo years ago.
