This listing is for one (1) 1990 THE POSIES DEAR 23 LP vinyl record album on The David Geffen Company Records. This extremely rare original release LP comes from my personal record collection, so it has been handled and stored very carefully. It is used and is in excellent playing condition with just a few visible light/minimal surface scuffs or scratches. The cover shows very little shelf wear and has the hype sticker on the front, and the inside jacket shows very little wear as well. Plays extremely clean, with just a few audible pops and clicks here and there. The Posies' second and most commercially appealing studio album, which generated the band's first hit singles, "Golden Blunders," and "Suddenly Mary," is in my opinion one of the most underrated albums of all time. Coming at the beginning of the Seattle grunge rock era, this album showed what was brewing in Seattle in the late '80's and early '90's, featuring an edgy pop rock sound and titillating lyrics. "My Big Mouth," starts off the album, exploding off the vinyl and setting the stage for the rest of this melodically ferocious record. "Apology," "Any Other Way," "Help Yourself," "Mrs Green," and "Everyone Moves Away," when combined with the three aforementioned tunes, could be among the best eight songs found on any album from that year. It really is that good. If you've already heard this album, then you know why you're here. Ranks high on my personal list of the 100 best albums of the '90's. Also includes "You Avoid Parties," and "Flood Of Sunshine." A really nice addition to anyone's LP collection! From a pet-free, non-smoking home. Enjoy!
