Description
ORIGINAL 1966 ISSUE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, BOTH JACKET AND RECORD.
It is not a 2nd state butcher block paste-over, it was produced after the first run of butchers were recalled and new jackets were made with this trunk cover. Listing photos show why I conclude it's not a 2nd state butcher - 1) a photo showing no shadow or hint of Ringo's black V-neck and 2) a picture of the spine and upper left front corner shows how the pasted-on cover is over the wrap around and actually dips below the wrap-around to the carboard below it - it may not show this but I can easily feel the dip down. If it was pasted over another cover, there would not be this dip down, obviously.
In any case, the jacket shows very light corner wear, a bit of scratching on spine, no splits, marks, or rings, some light soiling of the wrap-around, seen particularly on top right corner, "File Under..", light age-toning and light foxing marks on back jacket. The RIAA code is "3" on back jacket. The matrices are:
Matrix / Runout (Side A runout): T1-2553-G4 #2 IAM Matrix / Runout (Side B runout): T2-2553-G4 IAM
Came in original olive green inner sleeve, largely split and torn on one side. The LP LOOKS QUITE PLAYABLE with a few faint scuff marks over very clean vinyl, I'll grade VG++.
RARE IN THIS GOOD A CONDITION.
