1967 original pressing G+ (record) - visible scratches and significant crackle and pop, but still listenable in the background while you're doing something else; no skips.
VG (sleeve) - small sticker on front cover; banana sticker has tears near stem; general cover wear; initials "L.T." written in ink on the back cover; see also note below.
VG+ (inner sleeve advertising other Verve LPs) - 2" interior seam split on bottom edge

NOTE: Before I got this copy, it used to have one of those big black stickers on the back that covered up the upside down Eric Emerson photo. You can clearly see where someone removed the sticker. Even after decades, that area is still a little sticky. I have not tried to remove the remaining sticker residue.
The record is not the greatest copy. Someone obviously played it a lot when it was new (which is kind of impressive and probably puts them in rare company). Don't try to sit quietly and listen to this on headphones. Still, I've always enjoyed having this record around anyway, but it's almost more like having an art object than a record.

This is an East Coast mono copy with songwriting credits reading "Reed" instead of "L. Reed". The labels say "Side 1" and "Side 2", not "Side A" and "Side B."

Goldmine Record Grading Standards:

Mint: Absolutely perfect in every way.

Near Mint (NM or M-): Nearly perfect, no visible defects, no surface noise. NM sleeves have no creases, ring wear, or seam splits.

Very Good Plus (VG+) or Excellent (E): May show slight signs of wear, slight warps, or minor signs of handling, that do not affect the listening experience. VG+ sleeves have only minor wear, such as a short split (one inch or less) at the bottom, or a cutout marking.

Very Good (VG): Lacks most of the original gloss found on factory-fresh records. Groove wear and light scratches are visible. The record has surface noise, and some scratches may be audible, especially in soft , but the noise will not overpower the music. Label may include minor writing, tape or a sticker. A VG sleeve has many signs of handling, such as obvious but not overwhelming ring wear, creases, seam splitting, or handwriting or stamps.

Good (G), Good Plus (G+) or Very Good Minus (VG-): Significant surface noise and groove wear, and the label is worn, with significant ring wear, heavy writing, or obvious damage. G/VG- sleeves have distracting ring wear, seam splits, or heavy writing.

Poor (P) and Fair (F): Records are cracked, impossibly warped, or skip and/or repeat when an attempt is made to play them. Sleeves are heavily damaged.
