Description
Here is one of the top ten most sought after and collectible albums of all time. THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO Andy Warhol Banana cover on Verve. This is the second issue as it has the torso airbrushed out on the back cover. Blue & silver Verve label V6 5008 1967. Inner Verve sleeve in perfect condition. The cover has what appears to be mold on the bottom of the front cover and bottom of inside covers and minimal ringwear. The initials W.P. are written on the right corner of the front cover and a small half inch yellow cataloging sticker on left corner (some people). The spine/gatefold is in great shape, with no tears or cracks. Corner wear is min-med and edges have some dents and a couple of very minute tears. The banana is mostly in tact but appears to have been torn and replaced at the stem. I can see a small amount of the pink banana at the bottom of the banana. (Please see the photo). The vinyl is in NM condition and appears to have never been played. No, scratches, surface or otherwise and no smudges. A rare find and must have for serious collectors.

The USA post office OFTEN quotes one price for mailing, but then when I go to mail the item, it is a higher price, because of their scales being unbalanced.
