Description

This lp is titled Venice, Georg Solti conducting the Royal Opera House. Original 1959 American pressing, RCA Red Seal. LSC- 2313. With a die cut gatefold cover, it includes an informative and picturesque 7 page booklet. The music is bold, beautiful, captivating and exciting. VINYL GRADING: Side 1 is VG+. The vinyl is mostly pristine with one or two light scratches that show up under strong light. There are a number of pops and snaps, which might be eliminated with a professional cleaning. And knowing how meticulous classical audiophiles can be, l have listed them. Side 1) Band 1 (3:25): Slight crackle outro. Band 2 (7:14): light pops 1:02-1:04; slight crackles 1:23-1:30; some light pops 2:33-2:53; pop at 3:26 & 3:36; after 3:40 one or two light snaps/crackles. Band 3 (3:25): light snaps first 10 seconds; pop :42; some light crackles outro. Band 4 (3:56): Some light crackling first 20 seconds; pop :30; light crackles on outro. NO SKIPS, no spindle wear.
Side 2) Band 1 (11:16): light snaps 1:20-1:35; some pops, crackling 2:00-2:35; 4-5 light snaps. pops 5:05-7:38; pops 9:37-9:43. Band 2 (8:35): pop :14; light pop, crackle 1:17-1:27; light pop 1:52 & 2:30; light pops 3:01-3:07; light snaps, crackle 4:28-4:39; light pops 5:01-5:05. NO SKIPS, no spindle wear.
COVER GRADING: VG+. Some edge wear, spine wear. Light ringwear back cover. Booklet pristine.
Lp comes with original picture sleeve, white RCA sleeve, and protective outer plastic sleeve.
