Description

INTERESTING AND RARE 1975 SOUND RECORDING OF GREEK VILLAGE FOLK MUSIC, ALSO WITH 15 STUNNING PHOTOGRAPHS AND AN INSERT WITH POETRY.
The title of the attached 4-page booklet is, A Portfolio Of Photography And Sound, Volume II. The boxset-like gatefold cover with folder includes 15 photographs by Constantine Manos, and the attached booklet with info and five poems by Yiannis Ritsos. The music is from the collection of the Society for the Dissemination of Greek Music in Athens, and specifically were field recordings made by Simon Karas and Mary Vouras in a Ford Foundation sponsored project.
The gatefold is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with a bit of soiling around the edges of the front gatefold, light corner wear and little to no edge wear.  There is a solid sleeve with the photos, which measure 10" by 8" and are thick paper with a matte surface.  Clean booklet securely attached to spine of gatefold.  LP stored in plain white inner sleeve, LOOKS GREAT with no scratches on pristine vinyl.
