Description

(.HIGH TREASON) by ( HIGH TREASON )...... ....( Classic stoner rock from the early 70's, private label LP on Abbott, now VERY RARE and hard to find. Comes with a small pack of rolling papers stuck to the front cover, i.e. "compliments of HIGH TREASON" - RARE TO FIND WITH THE ROLLING PAPERS STILL INTACT. "Leo" is excellent femme sung prog rock with a midieval flair thanks to rampant harpsichord and a big old cathedral church organ. Vocals are customarily echoed beyond redemption in standard post-psych fashion, so in the end this sounds like Volunteers era Jefferson Airplane with Jon Lord guesting. Elsewhere, the band do a surprisingly chipper, jazzy rendition of Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues," and more slow doomy prog psych like the epic "Witch" that seem tortured and Satanic all at once. Where's those rolling papers when you really need 'em? BEAUTIFUL MINT SHAPE )........
