It’s generally described as “rural,” but it’s not country at all. It’s more like a guitar pop album with a very laid back feel. In an understated way it anticipates the California rock of the 70s. Several songwriters create a surprisingly consistent sound. The vocals are very nice and the songs sneak up on you. “Not The Same” sounds like grade-A Badfinger.
