Description

This is a reluctant sale from my personal audiophile collection. A fabulous sounding record but sadly I hardly ever choose to listen to this music.
Appalachian Spring ballet by Aaron Copland Spirituals for String Choir and Orchestra by Morton Gould Performed by the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Walter Susskind.

Originally purchased new and sealed some 20 years or so ago but genuinely only played 4 or 5 times on a Rega turntable with cartridge tracking at no more than 2grams.
DCC Compact Classics produced some fabulous sounding audiophile records but went out of business some years ago so this numbered (No. 1361) limited edition lp will never get repressed.
Famously recorded by Everest in 1958 at Walthamstow Town Hall, this recording has stunning dynamics, soundstage, realism and hall ambience. The DCC issue has been remastered from the original 3 track magnetic film masters by Steve Hoffman, assisted by Kevin Gray (both names are inscribed in the dead wax). Pressed on 180gram pure vinyl.
Vinyl is Near Mint and sleeve is VG++ to EX (please examine photos of actual record for sale).
Has only ever been lightly dusted with a carbon fibre brush and no solutions have ever been used. Carefully kept in a smoke and pet free home and always in a poly sleeve (not PVC) when shelved.
Will be packed in a cruciform record mailer with sleeve and record separated. Overseas sales to selected countries via Ebay Global Shipping Program and Ebay will confirm total price for overseas buyers.
