This collection offers 12 scarce albums, all in NM, NM- or VG++ condition, at a low opening price, by one of the greatest and most popular folk song ensembles ever. The group's recording debut was on Elektra records and that recording was reissued later on the Legacy label as The Limeliters - Their First Historic Album. The other 11 are on the RCA Victor label, all from the early 1960s. The trio consisted of Lou Gottlieb (the funny one on the bass, remembered best for "Have Some Madeira, My Dear"), Glenn Yarbrough (the incredible Irish tenor) and Alex Hassilev (with the banjo and facility with languages). When Yarbrough launched a solo career, his first replacement was folksinger Ernie Sheldon who appears on More of Everything and Leave It To The Limeliters. [The Limeliters regrouped several times and are still performing; only Hassilev is left of the original trio; check out the website.] [If you like this lot, see our LPs by the Dozen lots this week for one by Peter Paul and Mary, one by The Kingston Trio, and one by The Chad Mitchell Trio.]

Music fans, collectors and dealers: For the next several weeks we'll be offering 10-20 "LPs By the Dozen" auctions each week because we've acquired several good collections in the past few weeks and our warehouse and our home are chockablock full of quality records in prodigious quantity. We have promised the lady of the house that we'll sell a "bedroomful" so that there will be at least 6000 fewer records in September than there were in February; so, to sell quickly and in quantity, we've launched this "LPs by the Dozen" auction format in addition to our usual auctions. We've acquired cartons especially designed for mailing 12 records. [We also have cartons for 24, 36, and 48, in case you are intrigued by more than one dozen.] You are buying value starting at thrift-store prices!

VALUE: Every "LPs by the Dozen" auction starts at $9.99. They're worth more, we promise; but we'll trust the eBay auction process to identify the correct price.

CONDITION: "LPs By The Dozen" auctions will have only quality-condition items to sell. Every "LPs by the dozen" auction consists only of Mint (sealed), Near Mint (look unplayed), NM-, and VG++ records (very light wear) -- no junk, only collectible-condition records.

SHIPPING: "LPs By The Dozen" lots will ship by Media Mail in the US at $5.94 for a one-dozen package. Each additional dozen in the same package is $2.40 more. We'll gladly ship internationally, or by Priority Mail; just let us know your needs after you win one of these auctions and we'll calculate whatever rate you need.

As you can see, to manage 10-20 more auctions each week, we've streamlined the listing process. Only the title and first paragraphs change, so we can list quickly. And we've adopted a standard photo format: 3 photos of 4 records each so that you can see everything that's for sale - no surprises. In these auctions of quality items at low prices, we won't be writing paragraphs about the market value of the items, won't list song titles, record labels, dates of issue or catalog numbers, etc. Sorry, but at these prices, we can't answer questions about individual items. What we can do, as with this auction, is to offer interesting lots of records in quality condition for low opening bids.

Thanks for checking out this JMECKL auction. For other auctions of intriguing records and unusual lots of records, please check our other auctions this week and every week. Check our Feedback and buy with confidence! Enjoy the auction.

Payment and Shipping

SHIPPING COSTS: The high bidder always is responsible for shipping costs. Most of our merchandise is "media" and qualifies for Media Mail in the US -- which can be slow but is economical. For this auction, the high bidder pays $5.94 for shipping and handling, to any US location, if the buyer chooses Media Mail. We recommend Priority Mail when speed or safety is paramount and we recommend Parcel Post or Priority Mail for merchandise that is not "media." Price varies for Priority Mail and for Parcel Post according to location, but typically these services are roughly double the Media Mail rate. Consult us after the auction for exact cost. The quoted shipping cost of every package we ship is the postage plus $1.10. This "handling" fee covers the average out-of-pocket cost of shipping materials -- boxes, bubble wrap, etc.

  • POSTAL INSURANCE: Insurance is optional and must be requested by and paid for by the high bidder. Insurance costs whatever USPS is charging for it, which depends upon the value of the shipment. If you want insurance, just tell us so after the auction. Risks are low, rates are high; so we don't recommend insurance.
  • INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS: International customers must contact us prior to sending payment to determine exact shipping costs. Tell us whether you want airmail (usually one week) or surface mail (usually 5-7 weeks, but roughly half the price of airmail). Insurance is optional. We fill out customs forms honestly; please do not ask us to enter false information about the nature or value of your merchandise.
  • COMBINING SHIPMENTS: We love to save you money on postage by putting several of your purchases in one package. We'll gladly hold onto merchandise you've paid for until you accumulate a larger package, if you wish.

e © AP6.0      Summary of My Selling Policies Payment We accept PayPal, BidPay, money orders, personal checks, or cash in the mail. We do not accept credit cards directly -- only through PayPal or BidPay.

Please do us the courtesy of paying within 10 days. Fees Each package we ship costs the actual postage plus $1.10. This is the average cost of tape, bubble wrap, boxes and other materials we use in order to assure successful shipment. Perhaps you can re-use these materials but our primary purpose is to get your merchandise to you in the same condition it leaves here.

We collect no sales taxes at this time. Shipping We ship anywhere you say. In the US, we usually ship by Media Mail because it's economical, and we quote Media Mail in all relevant auction listings. We gladly will ship by Parcel Post, Priority Mail, or Express Mail in the US; just let us know after the auction and we'll gladly calculate the rates for you.

International shipments may be airmail or surface mail. Surface mail is often very slow, so for speed and safety reasons, we recommend airmail. Either way, let us know your preferences at the end of the auction and we'll calculate the rate.

Want to save on shipping? Buy more than one item and ship your winnings in one package.

Don't see any more auctions that interest you? We try to do at least 50 new ones each week, so you can wait a week or two if you wish, in order to shop more items. Also, check our "About Me" page on eBay for another option. Delivery We ship several days each week, usually within 2 days of payment, and often the same day. Refunds & Returns We sometimes give refunds; sometimes we give credit; sometimes we make other arrangements, depending upon the nature of the problem.

The first thing to do, always, when there's a problem, is to contact us. Don't get mad; don't ship anything back; just get in touch. We strive to achieve 100% buyer satisfaction. Contact Me The fastest way to contact us is by e-mail, which we check several times per day. Rarely does e-mail wait more than a day or two.

We're always open for business, of course, since business is done electronically. We have no bricks-and-mortar site. We exhibit only at one live site: the International Record Show at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in July. BID WITH CONFIDENCE
