This is one of most beautiful large Illustrated versions ever done by RCA. LSC-2673 Limited Edition number 2284. The recording of Mendelssohn's "Midsummer Night's Dream" is conducted by Erich Leinsdorf leading the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The real rarity of this package is the wonderful oversize text pamphlet, and Engravings by the eighteenth century< John Boydell. He was a publisher and seller of prints. These wonderful limited edition versions are certainly suitable for framing, on a heavy linen paper. The text of the recording is also in a oversize version and explains this wonderful recording. The whole package is in a wonderful cloth binder with wonderful graphics and details. The vinyl is in a special pocket inside the binder on the right side.

The vinyl is mint- on both sides, with only a surface scratch on side two as its only flaw. This mark does not affect play. The cover is VG++ on the outside, with a scuff on the front picture and some marks on the linen blue cover. The inside is mint in all respects. The two ingravings are MINT, and the text and insides details are MINT. This whole package is VERY RARE.
