As well as releasing a collection of previously unreleased bits from Mort Garson this month, Sacred Bones are now also reissuing the legendary sound designer and composers Black Mass album on a limited pink vinyl with a spot-varnished cover. It might be fifty years old, but it's a thrilling work that got maximum potential out of the Moog synths he used to create it. There are photo-techno tunes next to lush ambient offerings, with percolating synths, abstract effects and a healthy dose of sci-fi magic and alien sonic forms all making it an absorbing and cinematic affair like no other.
